How to Get a Free Cruise on Carnival
What the Carnival Players Club publishes, and what free means.
Get Free Cruise QuotesThe question “how to get a free cruise on Carnival” has a clear official answer, because Carnival spells out more of its casino program than most lines do. The route is the Carnival Players Club, and the free part has a well-defined boundary.
How the Carnival Players Club Works
The Carnival Players Club page explains how casino points are earned. On slots you “earn 1 Casino Point for every $2 coin-in”; on video poker it is one point for every $5. At the tables, points depend on the game, your average bet and how long you play. Points unlock benefits during the cruise, such as complimentary drinks while you play, and after the cruise they lead to invite-only offers.
Those offers can include discounted or free rooms, and Carnival’s own fine print says they exclude taxes, fees, port expenses and deposit. In other words, a free Carnival cruise means the cabin fare is waived, not that the trip costs nothing. Carnival also runs invitational casino sailings, listed on the same page under names such as Premier, Ultra, Elite and Treasure Chest Voyages, plus tournaments and adults-only events for qualifying players.
Reading a Carnival Casino Offer
| Line in the offer | What to check |
|---|---|
| Ship and date range | Offers usually name specific sailings; popular dates may be excluded. |
| Cabin category | The comped category is stated; upgrading usually means paying the difference. |
| Guests covered | Check whether the second guest is included, and whether a third or fourth pays. |
| Booking deadline | Offers expire. Book before the date or ask whether it can be extended. |
| Deposit and fees | Carnival excludes the deposit, taxes, fees and port expenses from free rooms. |
Because the offer is tied to your Players Club account, the safest way to confirm it is to log in to your Carnival account or call the casino or reservations number published on carnival.com. If someone contacts you first and asks for payment details to claim a Carnival cruise, hang up.
Other Ways to Cruise Carnival for Less
If you are not a casino player, the closest thing to a free Carnival cruise is a cruise someone else pays for: a group you organize (Carnival, like other lines, handles groups through a dedicated group desk), a work trip, or a gift. More commonly, the real win is a lower fare. Carnival sales cluster in predictable windows, and our sister site Wave Season tracks the biggest of them. Our cruise advisors at Mister Cruise can also check whether any promotion you qualify for beats a casino offer on the same dates.
Gamble only what you would happily spend on a night out. The casino is a business, and the free cabin is its way of inviting back players it expects to win from.
Free Carnival Cruise Scams
Carnival’s name turns up in scam calls and posts because it is familiar. Warning signs: you are told you won without entering anything, you must pay a fee to claim the prize, the caller will not let you hang up and call back, or a social account that is not Carnival’s verified page runs a share-to-win giveaway. Our free cruise scams page has the full checklist.
Carnival Free Cruise Questions
How do you get a free cruise on Carnival?
Through the Carnival Players Club. Members earn casino points as they play on board, and Carnival says points unlock invite-only offers, including discounted or free rooms. Taxes, fees, port expenses and the deposit are excluded.
How many Carnival points for a free cruise?
Carnival publishes how points are earned (one point per $2 played on slots, for example) but not how many points produce a free cruise offer. Offers depend on your play and the sailing.
Are Carnival Rewards (VIFP) points the same as casino points?
No. Carnival Rewards tracks your sailings; Players Club casino points track gambling. Our sister site Cruise Rewards Program covers Carnival Rewards.
Is Your Carnival Offer a Good Deal?
Send us the offer. Our cruise advisors at Mister Cruise will price the same cruise with current Carnival promotions for a straight comparison.
